Deuteronomy 3:23 - 7:11

"Because you have rebelled and made me stumble too,
It is withheld from me to lead you in the land;
But G-d's Torah you have. These laws if you will do,
You shall be called the nation of those who understand.
Remember when Sinai blazed to the heart of heaven,
In G-d's tremendous voice the Ten Commands were given:
To recognize our G-d nor make nor serve another,
Nor take the Name in vain; to honor father, mother,
And keep remembering the holy Sabbath day
That on that day your servant as yourself may rest;
And not to murder, not to steal, and not to stray
Across the marriage bounds, nor falsely to attest
Another person's guilt, nor covet what is theirs.
Hear, Israel: your G-d is G-d, and if you heed
These words I teach you now, and teach them to your heirs,
Someday the world will listen; for this with you I plead."
