Deuteronomy 21:10 - 25:19

"With justice as your rule you need not fear your foes,
Numerous though they be, and mighty though they seem,
For G-d will champion you, and strength from G-d will stream
Into your ranks, unless corrupting flaws oppose.
On G-d intent go forth, yet keep a rein on those
Passions that rise in fight; let not uncleanness dim
The standard of your camp, nor captive beauty’s gleam
Tempt you across the bounds the sacred laws impose.
Rest on the might of G-d and use not all your might:
Oppress not those whom need subordinates to you;
In punishment beware of dealing one stroke more;
Gather the young, but let the mother bird take flight;
One set of weights and measures you shall keep, not two,
In field and market as when you go forth to war."
